Red River Foods becomes structural supporter of Thien An

In 2017 Red River Foods started to operate a cashew shelling facility in Pleiku that is located in the central highlands of Vietnam close to the cashew growing areas Gia Lai province and close to the border with Rattanakiri province in Cambodia which is also providing a significant volume of raw cashew nuts. As part of our local footprint and involvement in the community we decided to join forces with Live and Give and support the Thien An orphanage. Red River Foods is a supplier of nuts, seeds, and dried fruit and our mission is to source the highest quality foods, provide expert market insight, and develop sustainable supply chains around the world. Over the last years we have built up a large presence in the Vietnamese cashew industry and we believe it is our responsibility to give back to the communities in which we operate. We will sponsor about 15 children at the Thien An orphanage in the town of Pleiku where we also employ about 100 minority people from the Gia Rai tribe. These Gia Rai people are the same people that may have children that are at the TA school. Robert, our Vietnam manager, is already involved in the school / orphanage for last 6 – 7 years, and after opening our factory in this town it was a logical step to join forces with Live and Give and join Thien An as long term partner. We hope by supporting Thien An in the years to come that we also contribute to better lives and better opportunities for some of the children in this still relatively poor area.
